Since 2011, Leckerlee has been baking authentic Nuremberg-style lebkuchen using the highest-quality ingredients and time-honored techniques. We bake our lebkuchen in NYC by hand in small batches, and only during the traditional winter season. We are the only company in the US specializing in baking lebkuchen, and we sell primarily through our online shop, at holiday markets in NYC, and through select retail partners such as Dean & Deluca and Whole Foods Market. Our lebkuchen has been praised in Saveur, Food & Wine, Martha Stewart Living, New York, and over a dozen holiday gift guides. Leckerlee was founded by Sandy Lee after 2 1/2 years in Berlin, where she first encountered lebkuchen at a Christmas market. She became obsessed with learning how to make it and spent over a year perfecting a recipe before moving to NYC to start Leckerlee. The companys name is a play on the German words for delicious/treat & Sandys surname.
