Tumbleweed Bread

Weve been baking naturally leavened bread and whole grain focused treats in the beautiful, high-altitude San Luis Valley of Colorado since 2018; you may have seen us at the Alamosa Farmers Market or delivering bread and treats across the Valley in our beat up little green car. Were currently taking a break from baking for the month of June, but we plan to be at the Alamosa and Monte Vista Farmers Markets starting in July! Our BIG project right now is renovating an historic brick building in the heart of Monte Vista; it was built in 1918 and has many lovely quirks. Were making steady progress but could always use help and advice from our community; please see the Contribute to our project page if you think you could help. We look forward to opening our doors for retail sales and being able to gather together in late 2022. We value healthy, locally-grown whole grains, so we work closely with Kris Gosar of Mountain Mama Milling to include his local stone-ground flour in our long-fermented, naturally leavened breads.
