Familiar Grounds

Familiar Grounds began its journey in a small building on the south bank of the Wolf River. The new coffee and gift shop quickly became a success and the original owners set out to find a bigger space. Renovation began quickly on our current building and Familiar Grounds was moved to our new location in 2004. In May 2018, Chris & Jen Heideman purchased Familiar Grounds with a vision to continue the cozy, relaxing coffee shop vibe! Chris and Jen graduated from New London and stayed in the area to raise their family. Both Luke and Elizabeth are excited to be involved in their new family business. Our focus at Familiar Grounds will continue to be our community. We are committed to providing our guests great drinks, food, and that amazing coffee shop atmosphere. Our gift shop area has been reorganized in an effort to support local artists; you will find a wide selection of paintings/prints, and other locally crafted items that are perfect for your home or for gifts.
