Our hot cup sleeves are made from recycled paper and we reduce disposable plastics in our environment by encouraging our patrons to skip the straw and lid on cold drinks whenever possible. We are always seeking more ways to further our eco-conscious efforts, andto be an example to others to do the same. We offer organic milk along with multiple non-dairy options, organically grown teas and many other organic products, choosing organic whenever possible. While we are passionate about implementing every sustainable practice possible in-house, our involvement goes far beyond our coffeehouse and wholesale roastery doors. Martin has been a featured presenter at many Zero Waste conferences, environmental awareness symposiums and university events and has been an invited guest on decision-making panels to discuss affecting positive change on environmental policies. n 2007 Kéan Coffee was recognized as a Zero Waste business by Earth Resource Foundation, and in 2009 Kéan Coffee was named by the OC Metro as one of Orange Countys Green 15 for its dedication to operating Kéan Coffee with a focus on sustainability. Along with our regular involvement with and donations to local and national conservation groups, these combined efforts speak to our dedication to practicing responsible stewardship towards the health of our community and our environment, and we hope that we can continue to inspire others to do the same.
