Hammerstone's

Hammerstones, famous for live music, great food, and a beautiful patio. All of this in a building with history dating back to 1884. Legend has it that during prohibition it was a drug store in front with bootleg liquor out back, and doctors offices upstairs. Greatvibe, food, service and love that they have live music every night! Tried the fried ravioli, French onion dip with ribeye and French onion soup for dipping, Hammerstones cubano, and Hammercanes to drink. Food was great pub-style, lots of it, you wont go hungry. The band was great and we stayed well after dinner to listen to the music! A mainstay in the historic Soulard neighborhood for many years, and a touchstone for St. Louis Mardi Gras, Hammerstones also boasts a very comfortable outdoor garden with stage, meaning those bands are often found there in the Spring, Summer, and Fall months. I highly recommend this family owned and distinctive touchstone in the citys oldest neighborhood. Whether it is the food or the music, you WILL get your fill! I went to this establishment with friends for drinks. However, stayed for some food. The food was good and service was prompt. The atmosphere was fantastic. Outside patio with live entertainment which always has quality musicians. Great place to just hang with friends and enjoy the sights and sounds. We have 12 beers on tap inside, and 5 at our patio bar!!
