Persimmon is a beloved bistro located off the beaten path from Bethesdas bustling downtown. Chef and Owner, Damian Salvatore, grew up in Bethesda and worked in local restaurants his entire life, all-the-while crafting his passion for creating genuinely good food.In 1998, Damian and his wife Stephanie opened their very first restaurant: Persimmon. It wasnt long before Persimmons menu and charm grew to be well-loved by loyal guests, and became a Washington-area favorite. After many successful years, Persimmon closed for renovations in August 2012. The restaurant re-opened its doors in February 2013, featuring a sleek new look. The newly-renovated Persimmon showcases a lively bar, cozy booths, and walls that dance with bright paintings. The updated design offers a more casual vibe to the neighborhood bistro, but continues to serve unforgettable favorites, peppered with a handful of delicious new dishes.
