Nicks Nest was founded in 1921 by Nick Malfas. It started as a roadside popcorn cart. In 1922 hot dogs were introduced. Nicks Nest stayed in the Malfas family for three generations. It became a landmark in Holyoke. In 2005 Nicks Nest was purchased by Kevin and Jenn Chateauneuf. They have added to Nicks Nest without taking away from what makes Nicks Nest popular, their hot dogs. Nicks Nest now features french fries, onion rings, homemade salads and soft serve ice cream. Nicks Nest is a great spot to visit for the first time or to come reminisce about the good ole days!
