He graduated with a degree in History, and planned to become a teacher after his service. Unfortunately, he developed malaria and suffered from dysentery during and after the war. A Doctor treating him told him he needed a warm, dry climate like Egypt or Arizona, and he said that because he didnt speak Egyptian, it would be Arizona. After moving his pregnant wife and a small trailer full of their possessions from Indianapolis to Phoenix, Pete remembered all of the fish & chips stands he had seen while golfing in tournaments in England. With only $900 to his name, he opened his first fish & chips stand, and the rest is history! Petes is a family owned business, serving 4th generation customers.
