A must see for out of towners. Since 1966, the HandlebarJ has been one of the most popular authentic western places to go, and still is to this day. In the heart of north Scottsdale (The Wests Most Western Town) we serve mouth watering steaks, bar-b-que ribs, corn on the cob, homemade biscuits, and lots more by a friendly staff, who are here to serve your every need. We have a beautiful patio where you can relax under the Arizona sky, enjoy a Porter House Steak, and listen to our live country music 7 nights a week. Or stay inside, where our dining room is cozy and the dance floor is fun for plenty of Arizona Two Steppin. If youd like to hang your hat in the Handlebar, youll be in good company, where a slew of hats hang from the rafters, from old cowboys who have bellied up to the bar since 1966 (with name tags and all). The Herndon Brothers Band, have been Arizona favorites for 15 years and play every Wednesday thru Sunday starting at 8:30 pm, putting out the best country music youll hear, just about anywhere. We also have comedy on Mondays and various local bands on Tuesdays. We offer free country dance lessons every Wednesday starting at 6:30 pm and line dancing lessons on Tuesday starting at 7pm ($5 per person goes directly to instructors). We can host your private party or luncheon, just let us know a little in advance.
