From Pirates of the Caribbean to Elizabeth Taylor, The Cellar has quite the past. The Cellar Restaurant is located in the Historic Villa del Sol. This 1922 Spanish style building was once called the California Hotel hosting Celebrities from all over the world whowere attending red carpet events across the street at the Fox theatre. In 1969 The Cellar Restaurant, located in the basement, opened its doors. The Cellar was designed by Gene White who was the craftsman from the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland. With cavernous walls, red velvet booths, and fascinating details, it proves The Cellar is truly one of a kind. (For a more intimate experience, be sure to request the Grotto. There you can sit in the same booth Richard Burton proposed to Elizabeth Taylor.) We invite you to join us. Walk downstairs, open the wood door, and be instantly transported to another era. With 20s music playing, candle light, and warm laughter filling the air, The Cellar is an experience one will not soon forget. The Cellar Restaurant is an experience. We hope you join us and take this as an opportunity to relax. Our Cocktails and Cuisine take time as everything is prepared fresh. If you are in a hurry, please mention so to your server.
