October 1998: The Landmark Inn was the first and only hotel in the state of Michigan that was awarded membership to Historic Hotels of America. The Landmark Inn is proud to be a member of Historic Hotels of America, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The designation identifies quality hotels that have faithfully maintained their historic architecture and ambiance. Member hotels must be at least 50 years old and be eligible for historic designation or recognized locally as having historic significance. Each hotel has achieved a superior reputation for quality in its setting and service. May 1999: The Landmark Inn received the Business Honor Roll Award from Marquette Arts Awards in recognition to our continual supports of the Arts in Marquette. Attention has been paid to detail in ever corner of the Landmark Inn. We have taken great care to restore the old Hotel Northland into the Landmark Inn and once again it is one of the premier hotels in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
