Gulfstream Restaurant was born and raised as a local, family tradition by Spiro and Joanne Simotas who nurtured it into a classic spot highly regarded for its food, affordability and friendly atmosphere.Now in its 42nd year, Gulfstream is still locally owned and operated by Kure Beach resident Ed Thomas, along with his business partner Rich Johnson and their team of managers and support staff. The landmark restaurant continues to serve great food at affordable prices to locals and vacationers from all the communications of Pleasure Island: Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Ft Fisher. In 2019 Gulfstream Restaurant opened a second location in Wrightsville Beach, NC taking over the spot of the unforgettable Causeway Cafe.
