Many people have asked how the name Mini Dixie Donuts came about. In 2017, I purchased a Daylight Donuts location in St. George, Utah. This is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It was not only where the donut shop was but soon became myhome. I have made so many great friends there as well. St. George is home to the Dixie Rock and many businesses use the label Dixie. Previously, the rock was called Sugarloaf because its formation represented a cinderblock brick of sugar that was a muddy red color that most settlers received from the British Isles in the 1800s. After moving home to Georgia, I decided to open another donut shop. I decided to pay homage by using the Dixie name. If you ever get the chance to visit some of Utahs beautiful landmarks, you will not be disappointed!
