La Note is an authentic Provenal restaurant in the heart of downtown Berkeley. Traditional breakfast and lunch bistro fare are combined with rustic Provenal dinners in a warm and charming atmosphere. The restaurants owner Dorothée Mitrani-Bell, a graduate from UCBerkeleys Environment design program (1994), won an award in excellence in 1998 for outstanding storefront improvements and rehabilitation of its beautiful 1875 building. Her daily goal is to raise her children all the while exposing them and the community to the convivial experience of sharing a wholesome fun and colorful meal reminiscent of her childhood.
