Located in Niagara Falls, Polish Nook is an old-fashioned, family-owned restaurant and bar which has been serving up authentic Polish cuisine since 1964. Polish Nook Restaurant was started in 1964 by Stanley and Stella (Sroda) Kajfasz, who previously owned the Pelican Motel. Stans parents and Stella emigrated from the Krakow Region of Poland. In its early years, the Polish Nook was mainly a small local bar and eatery and after many years of booming business they added the back dining room to fit there growing needs. Stellas cooking is famous to many locals in the area. After the passing of Stanley in 2000, the restaurant took some time to mourn and re-evaluate the business. Today, Polish Nook is run by the third generation and still serves the same recipes as when it opened. It also offers some American option.
