Established in 1979. In 1937, Raus opened as a home-style restaurant in Commack, Long Island to feed hungry travelers headed east to popular vacation spots. In 1979, the same historic building opened its doors as The Spare Rib, where three generations of the Iacono family continue the tradition of serving delicious, mouth-watering food at great prices. Our famous ribs, sizzling steaks and golden onion loaf keeps customers coming back for more. Why does it taste so good? We start with the finest ingredients and age our beef so that every cut meets our high standards. We make our own dressings and marinates fresh every day.
