Nestled on the corner of South Lee and West Sheridan in the historic Film Row district of Oklahoma City, you can find Joeys Pizzeria. Film Row was once a bustling film exchange streetscape, home to Hollywoods most notable film companies. With the utmost style and character, this district boasted beautifully distinctive Art Deco buildings, each equipped with unique fireproof vaults dedicated to the safety of the highly flammable nitrate films of times past. Eventually, the hustle and bustle diminished and Film Row became a ghostly shell of what it once was. But thanks to the strength and vision of the Oklahoma City community, Film Row was rediscovered and restored to its original greatness over the course of the 2000s. This resurgence brought in an abundance of new businesses eager to take advantage of the opportunities the area has to offer. One of the very first businesses to do this was, very proudly, ours. Established in 2005, Joeys Pizzeria started out offering only carry-out and deliveries. After a few years, the original owners made the difficult decision to sell the business. Unbeknownst to them, an extremely hardworking employee of theirs had a vision of her own for Joeys. Fast forward to today, and that employee is who the community knows and loves as Chef and Proprietor, Irena Kendrick. Irena continuously pours her absolute heart and soul into what Joeys Pizzeria has become. Once a small-scale pizza joint, Joeys now offers a full bar and a menu bursting with delicious and unique items, some of which cant be found anywhere else in Oklahoma.
