Established in 2009. Joseph Leonard is a casual West Village neighborhood spot with heart and soul, serving seasonal American food in a welcoming, relaxed setting. The restaurant is open all day, seven days a week, and we dont take reservations- so just stop by, grab a seat and have fun. Opened by Gabriel Stulman, Chef James McDuffee and team in 2009, Joseph Leonard was created to serve as an all-day gathering place for neighbors and visitors alike. Joseph Leonard is part of the Happy Cooking family of restaurants, started by West Village-based restaurateur Gabriel Stulman, which also includes Jeffreys Grocery, Fedora, Perla, Montmartre and Bar Sardine.
