OAK is an intimate neighborhood gastro wine bar located in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Inspired by Italian cantinas and French bistros, our philosophy is as ancient as wine itself: great food prepared simply and naturally using only the best quality ingredients paired with great wine. We offer a wide range of exciting wines showcasing great expressions of classic European regions as well as highlighting new producers and upcoming regions from around the world. We know many producers personally having met them and visited their wineries. Youll find organic and biodynamic wines and wines from as near as just one hour away. We update our wine list frequently and offer an extensive list of wines by the glass. In our tiny kitchen we employ traditional methods of preparation to create a seasonal, rustic, yet modern and comforting menu. We hand-select all fresh ingredients and make almost everything in-house. We carefully choose and support local speciality purveyours whenever possible and international where authenticity requires it Since 2007 OAK has been owned and operated by husband and wife team of WSET Diploma Level certified Sommeliers – Renato and Paula.
