During that era Delmonicos became world-renowned. In 1923, due to the woes of prohibition the brothers made the decision to shutter Delmonicos. In 1926, Oscar Tucci, a Tuscan immigrant purchased, saved and resurrected the iconic restaurant and Delmonico brand. Today, Delmonicos richly stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of American culinary innovation.
